Equipment Loading and Unloading:
Thursday, July 30th, We will be loading up all the equipment for the seminar, 4 rings, in a Uhaul truck at around 3pm at my house in Woodstock and then unloading it at the soccer center site afterwards... probably around 5:30pm. The soccer center is 10 minutes from my house.
If anyone is available to help it would be greatly appreciated. My address at home is 13805 Sunset Ridge Dr, Woostock, IL 60098 and is only 2 turns from the soccer center site. For any out of towners who are at the Holiday Inn or Super 8 -- I could give you directions.
Anyone helping with loading or unloading can set up their crates in the building on Thursday and my huge appreciation! This is a lot of work for few and goes very fast with many. Our last show everyone took a
few things to the Uhaul and we were loaded in under an hour!
The equipment will remain at the site after the Camp because we are hosting the USDAA North Central Regional at the same location the next weekend Friday - Sunday. I must have been on some good drugs when I agreed to do these 2 things back to back! The only help I will need Sunday after the camp is moving the equipment to a corner of the building outside the soccer rings.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help, even if you can't lift heavy stuff, all my jumps are pretty much very lightweight PVC and we will need help with things like putting up the ring gating inside the site on Thursday night and setting the first sequences for the next day.

Camp Format:
We will be divided into 4 groups, like last year. Friday and Saturday there are 3 Excellent level groups and one Open/Novice Competition level group. Sunday and Monday we have 2 Excellent level groups, one Open/Novice Competition and one 12-18 month old puppy group. You will stay with your group for the whole 2 day camp and the instructors will stay in their ring. Each group will spend from 9am till 12:30 PM with one instructor and then we will break for lunch for 1 hour. During that lunch you will eat and move your chair/stuff to the next ring you are assigned to. You are allowed to work on the lunch hour in any ring but please note that before the seminar and after is time for the instructors to work their dogs. Many are bringing several dogs and would like time to work their dogs so please respect this. After lunch, at 1:30pm , we will start the afternoon sessions and end at 5pm or when we are all too tired to go on.

Sunday/Monday Schedule and Groups (PDF file) Food:
I know I can't please everyone when it comes to lunch but I have taken
many of the suggestions from prior years and tried. I know, still won't work but I can still keep trying! LOL Lunch will again be catered by Billy of Billy's. We will have 2 salads each day for those who are vegitarian or don't like meat. Usually we do a Greek and either Ceasar or House. There will be a different Chicken dish 3 days and the day we have Beef or pulled pork I will have some chicken for those who don't do red meat. I will put the "sauce on the side" for dishes that that makes sense to do so.. like Mushroom chicken but not if it is Greek Chicken breast where it has to be cooked in the garlic and oil and spices. I will have a vegitable every day as well as the famous brownies!!
We have someone very allergic to nuts and that brought up a good point, there will be no nuts in the building any day!!! Please don't bring nuts.. of the food or human variety:) Please let me know if you have a food allergy of the variety that you carry an Epi pen to any food so I know to keep it away from our selections. Don't want anyone getting sick! We will not be serving breakfast so please bring something or eat on the way, especially if you have Stacy for Jumpers first thing, you will need your strength, trust me!!! We will have a late afternoon snack out of fruit and cheese, salami and crackers from 3pm till 5pm. You will be stuffed, there is always alot of food. I will be providing a drink with lunch but that does not mean the coolers are open to grab water out of all day long. Last year we went through about 10 cases before we figured out we didn't make that clear! Please bring drinks for you and your dogs during the day.
Building Access:
The Building opens each day at 6 AM, camp begins at 9 AM
 Temperature in the Building:
Varies alot. I had complaints people were freezing and too hot in the same day! It is normally about 72 degrees in there, comfortable to cold when sitting but you sweat when you are working your dog. At the AKC trial I just attended at the site I checked the temp every hour to see. It ranged from 68 to 74 during the 3 days. My only suggestion since it is hard to guess the temp is to wear layers and add and subtract depending on what ring your in. Because there are only 12 bodies in a ring it is usually cold at the
seminar unlike the shows were it is packed with people.

Barking Dogs:
I have Jack Russells so I sympathize with those who have crate barking dogs. The problem at this camp is since there are no people to absorb sound in the big crating area it echos horribly when dogs bark. Jen Pinder is usually in that ring and lost her voice yelling over a few dogs that just never stopped barking last year. If your dog barks, set the crate up with the dog in it next to your chair in the ring so you can keep it quiet or on your lap/under your chair.. whatever works. I can't even imagine teaching 4 full 8 hour days and having to yell to be heard the whole time. Let's try to help the instructors out and give them the respect they deserve by keeping it
quiet so they can talk at a normal level. Unentered dogs are ok as long as they are quiet.
