Dudley Fontaine
Dudley Fontaine has been living with and training dogs of various breeds — including Cocker Spaniels, Poodles, Retrievers, Mixed Breeds, and now Border Collies — for over 15 years.

She has represented the USA in international competition twelve times with three different dogs. Her Border ColliesMaverick, Sweet and Jack have represented the United States at the International Federation of Cynological Sport (IFCS) World Agility Championships and World Agility Open (WAO) several times each, and all three have medaled. May 2013 saw Jack and Sweet as proud members of the gold medal winning 2013 WAO team USA, each contributing runs towards the team gold medal – Jack in team jumpersand Sweet as the anchor leg in relay! Jack also represented AKC’s team USA at the 2013 European Open (EO) in Belgium and made the finals. Sweet and Jack will both be returning to the 2014 WAO.

Over the past five years, Dudley has been a reliable bet for final round appearances at national competitions including AKC National Finals; USDAA Team, Steeplechase, Masters Challenge Biathlon and Grand Prix Finals; as well as the UKI US Open Finals.

Sweet won the 2013 AKC National Championships in the highly competitive 20” division with over 400 dogs in her height class. Maverick finished second in the 2009 USDAA Grand Prix finals and won the 2013 USDAA Masters Challenge Biathlon. Youngest pup Bird is following in their pawsteps with two wins and a silver medal at the 2013 UKI US Open.

Before dogs, Dudley was an avid horse trainer and three-day event competitor. A lifetime of experience training animals has helped develop her positive approach to training and her ability to build upon the particular strengths presented by each individual.
